SCENARIO-BASED PRACTICE

This drill looks to develop their ability to technically perform the correct action in the correct situation working on their decision-making in that specific environment. With a higher focus on the implications of their decisions, as they look to understand how a goalkeeper can impact the game with their positioning and leadership skills.

Key Focus: No actions are pre-determined. Meaning all saves are real as to us a save where the goalkeeper knows where the ball is going is not a save.

This drill looks to provide some level of decision-making, for goalkeepers. These decisions will be focused on what techniques to use and when to use them.

The scenario-based drill will have lower levels of realism when compared to the youth development as students will conduct this in a circuit/ passing sequence manner
